the problem then comes that i don't know how to fill the scenes! now it's the individual scenes i don't have enough ideas for! so really it's not outlining/planning/whatever that i'm bad at, it's Ideas.

EXACTLY THIS. I always have a beginning and an end but the middle scenes are just *gestures* I don't even know. I'll have to check out that podcast that you recommended. It looks awesome. :)
