dear writer! thank you for writing me fic! i'm sure i'll love it regardless of what you do, because you're making me a thing and that's really great! also i like a whole bunch of different things, see: my bookmarks.

i have a generic letter i reuse for exchanges here which has my Do Not Wants, Please Warn Fors, stuff that's not a dealbreaker but slavoj-zizek-meme I Would Rather Not, and then a whole bunch of stuff i like. please feel free to disregard all of it except the DNWs, and i would appreciate a heads up for anything that's a PWF.

some more Generic Thoughts:
-if you want to write something set in ~These Unprecedented Times~ go for it, my one request is that we pretend that pandemic hockey is not happening and has never happened, for my sanity. feel free to write about events from this current season or last year's playoffs, just, idk. pretend COVID isn't a thing. pretend it was but we got it under control already. pretend the games were delayed until things were safe(r). whatever you wish.

-canon fic is great and cool but if you want to write an AU, please do!!! i have a whole section on my dear creator letter about it

-i have discussion of diets/exercise regimens/body maintenance/weight management/etc as a general Do Not Want and it applies especially much for hockey, particularly re: the intense scrutiny and maintenance of a particular body. obviously, Sports, so i know it comes up a lot, but i'd really appreciate you avoiding explicit details and/or discussion.

-generally i would prefer that non-famous WAGs or family members are not major characters. this isn't a hard DNW because sometimes i'm fine with it, but it's a tricky line for me to define.

-i really do not enjoy power imbalances in romantic &/ sexual relationships and would prefer to have just. none of that. sometimes i am up for subverting inherent power imbalances (eg player/captain, subject of hero worship/hero worshipper) but again, tricky line.

-i love ensemble gen, i love polycules, i love complex and interrelated networks of relationships. i love this especially in hockey with the team dynamics, so if you are moved in this direction i am WITH you.

-soul...bond??? i just feel like it would be particularly delightful for them
-goalie nesting. i always want more goalie nesting.

-god just any of the ot3 tropes here. there's a section on the dear creator letter for it
-especially: provy and patty are fuckbuddies, then patty starts dating tk and provy assumes the hooking up will stop, but tk is cool with it so maybe not??
-oh i would also love a soulbond au where two of them are soulmates but the three of them are all dating anyway, fuck destiny.
-i'm literally always thinking about how patty and provy won a cup together when they were babies on the wheat kings. what if they had a thing in juniors that they're both totally over, except for how they aren't at all, and tk finds out when he starts dating patty and tries to get patty and provy back together.
-this is an extremely niche prompt but: au where tk is a ranger who does wildlife tours, and patty&provy are the only people who turned up for this session.
-future fic where they're vets taking care of the rookies together
-mutual tender caretaking

-this could be like, team orgies, or they're all dating each other in various combinations, or both. both would be GREAT.
-this doesn't have to include like, every single flyer. it is more the Idea of the whole team fucking &/ dating in various combinations that enchants me.
-talk to me about the Logistics. managing this many relationships is hard! is there a google calendar? is there technically a date night schedule but no one remembers to check it/only some people do? do A/B/C bicker over who gets to spend time with D and D's like, sigh, i'm gonna go hang with E, who they aren't dating (or aren't dating YET)
-just give me all the relationship negotiation basically.

-if you wanted to take a veteran/rookie trope and subvert it that'd be ace. if you wanted to write them as just another two players that'd be ace
-i did have a thought about a rookie/veteran kneeling au where carter doesn't get a lot out of kneeling but claude gets a lot out of someone kneeling for him, and when carter realises, it turns into like, a ~topping from the ~bottom kinda thing

Joel Farabee/Shayne Gostisbehere
-i am still goddamn thinking about that picture of ghost choking beezer out. please write me all the fic about it. a kneeling au maybe??
-ghost seems extremely soft and harmless i just feel like he and joel "young beezer" farabee would be delightful together.
-joel dogsitting / joel using ghost's dogs as a reason to keep coming over to hang out

-i got into the flyers after simmer was traded but i'm so emotional about them being vets on the team for so long then being cruelly separated and now simmer's playing for his hometown team and thriving and i just? don't even go here but i have a lot of feelings basically
-breakup/makeup, getting back together after years apart (maybe post retirement?)

-au where the trade never happened and they're team dads together
-they're both actual dads! i would love fic about them being actual dads together! background relationships with/appearances from their actual wives would be fine in this case.

-would love something where joel is like, performatively horny about morgan as a joke, NOT in a homophobic way but in that way queers can have where we jokingly hit on our pals just because it's fun. at first morgan just thinks he likes the attention (again, not in an obnoxious straight dude way) BUT THEN he realises he just likes joel, who is having a similar realisation about morgan. BUT THEY BOTH THINK THE OTHER ONE STILL THINKS IT'S A JOKE!!

-i. don't know what to say here whoops
-all you need to know is that banksy is a very zoomy goalie and knuckles is a fighty enforcer type and i simply think it would be wonderful for them to date carter hart.
-i guess it would also be useful to know that they do not actually exist irl. they play for the also fictitious team The Hometown Chinchillas, a team of gay himbo disasters, and i love them.
